January 27, 2024 - NY Flower District Field Trip & Workshop
Embark on an adventure with Tricia to New York's historic flower district, coupled with a mini flower-pressing workshop in her midtown studio. NYC has a rich history with the flower industry, dating back to the 1890s. This is the prime resource for florists in the tri-state area and it is a great place to purchase flowers in the winter when gardens are bare. Tricia will serve as your guide—she’ll introduce you to her favorite shops on 28th St. and teach you how to select flowers ideal for pressing.
Following the exploration of the flower district, we’ll return to Tricia’s studio with a wide variety of unique blooms which we will divide into equal bundles for everyone to take home. While enjoying coffee, tea, fruit, and pastries, you can sit back and relax while Tricia conducts a mini pressing demonstration, specific to the flowers that were chosen. You will leave with botanicals in hand, inspired by like-minded flower lovers, and with the knowledge you need to confidently press your bundle!
